About This Route

The Phuket to Koh Samui route bridges Thailand's two most famous island destinations, connecting the Andaman Sea coast with the Gulf of Thailand. This cross-peninsula journey takes approximately 6 hours, combining an overland bus transfer with a high-speed ferry crossing. Lomprayah operates this route with a comfortable air-conditioned bus from Phuket Town (with hotel pickup available) crossing the isthmus to Donsak Pier on the Gulf coast, followed by a catamaran to Samui. It's the most affordable and convenient way to travel between these two islands without flying. The overland portion passes through stunning southern Thai countryside including rubber plantations, palm oil estates, and limestone mountain scenery. A rest stop is included midway for refreshments.
